Sami is a mother of four children with her husband Honorio. She is a current foster and adoptive parent starting her foster parent journey in 2003. Sami started working with special needs children in the mid 1980’s, primarily focusing on birth to Pre-K. She later changed career paths and went back to school to become an Interior Designer. Sami enjoyed a fulfilling career in the design field working with over 100 home builders in 4 different states in the booming new home industry. Later she opened her own design firm and employed a hand full of her own designers. Finding the need to focus on her children with special needs she made the decision to be at home full time with her kids. She now has two adult children who live independently, home schools, and has had the opportunity to foster 17 more kids. She and her husband hope to continue to foster and be a support to other foster parents on this amazing journey.
